Showers of Grace
Showers of Grace (SoG), a non-profit, non-denominational, faith based and Christ-centered evangelistic organization headquartered in Los Angeles, California was founded to provide financial aid and to improve Christian educational opportunities presented in African rescue centers, seminaries and local churches in China.
Our ministry serves, as a bridge to help fill the gaps of existing needs at rescue centers, seminaries and local churches through various means, especially for those small assemblies in remote villages. We are there as a part of a hopeful change that can encourage and inspire improvement to come true for the glory of God in building the body of Christ.
People in China always ask, “why are you serving us in this way?” Our oldest founder Yok Lin Tam responds with her 3-point life experience without hesitation: “I have experienced God’s abundant grace. I am deeply thankful and I am owing a debt of gratitude to God.” Here she is. At the age of about 90, she rested on a flat spot in the hilly village in Liangshan, Sichuan before ventured down the hill to the unfinished church building.
Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.
–Â Deuteronomy 32:2
My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distill as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass.
- Deuteronomy 32:2
